Drug Treatment Court

Drug Court provides intensive drug treatment and supervision to eligible offenders. Although not a statutorily mandated program, Drug Court is recognized under S.C. Code Section 17-22-1120(B). Specific program requirements vary from circuit to circuit; for more details contact the Circuit Director of Diversion Programs in the relevant circuit. Drug Court programs seek to benefit both the participant and the community by breaking the bonds of addiction and reducing the cost to the criminal justice system

Adult Drug Court is available in at least one county in all 16 judicial circuits of South Carolina. Juvenile Drug Court is available in 8 of the judicial circuits.
