Alcohol Education Program (AEP)
The Alcohol Education Program is a statutorily mandated diversion/intervention program (S.C. Code Section 17-22-510), and is available in all 16 judicial circuits. AEP is available to individual who are ages 17 to 20 at the time of the offense and only for minor alcohol and alcohol related charges.
AEP ELIGIBLE CRIMINAL CHARGES ARE: ü Minor in Possession of Beer or Wine ü Minor in Possession of Alcohol or Liquor ü Open Container ü Public Disorderly Conduct ü Littering (alcohol related only) ü Possession of a False ID ü Other alcohol offenses similar in nature
